Each year the Kiwanis Club of Northwest Austin raises funds in support of various community projects and charitable activities.  We are proud of the support that the people of Austin give us by participating in our fundraisers.  We are equally proud of the charitable and other community activities that we are involved with and contribute to; therefore, we believe that you, our loyal supporters, need to know what we are able to do because of your continued support.  Here are our current projects:

K Santa—provide Christmas food and gifts for 100 needy families.

Children's Miracle Network for Austin Children's Hospital—contribute to and participate in annual telethon.

Down Home Ranch—provide both financial and volunteer support of activities for a residential program and camping opportunities for young persons with disabilities.

Boys & Girl Clubs of Austin—raise and donate funds to help with projects at various club locations.

American Legion Boys State—provide scholarships for young men to attend.

Spirit Reins—support their work of using horses for therapy with youth who are dealing with problems.

International Foundation for Hope—financial aid to a program in India that provides a home and support for 35 HIV positive children who have been rejected by their families and community.

We Are The Chorus—support for costumes, scenery and other performance costs for a chorus made up of young adults with special needs and their singing buddies.  .

Austin Children’s Shelter—provide temporary home and skilled care for children, birth to 17 years, who are victims of neglect and abuse.

Marywood—support for young, homeless mothers and their children; adoption and foster homes.

Safe Place—serves victims, both spouses and children of domestic violence and abuse by offering youth an outreach program both day and night.

Any Baby Can – donate funds to provide help and hopes some of the youngest, sickest, poorest children in our community and their families.

Championship Hearts – donate funds to proved free heart screenings for student athletes, ages 14-18.

Contributions to good causes—Hospice Austin, Assistance League of Austin, Life Works, Salvation Army, Texas Hearing and Service Dogs, Seedling Foundation.

Texas Ramp Project – contribute labor and funds, when necessary, to build ramps for mobility impaired persons.

Texas Oklahoma Kiwanis Foundation—support scholarships for young people.

Regional, National & International Kiwanis Projects—contribute to cooperative Kiwanis efforts for worthy causes.

Circle K International—support college level Kiwanis clubs with funding assistance for their community service projects.

Down Syndrome Assn. of Central Texas—promotes advocacy and provides developmental programs for persons born with Down syndrome and their families—with a strong emphasis on young children.
